The Port Austin Bible Church is a non-denominational, indpendent Christian congregation, which is a part of the spiritual Church founded by Jesus Christ. The congregation began on December 8, 2004 with three people. It now has about a dozen people regularly attending. Visitors are always welcome. Our main meeting building is pictured above, but while our numbers are small, we meet in our dining room:
Our congregation meets every Sabbath (Saturday) at 1:30 P.M. Our services strive to follow the biblical model of using the spiritual gifts of all the brethren (Rom 12:6-8; 1Cor 12-14; Eph 4:11-15; 1Pet 4:8-11). The Bible records only a couple of long messages delivered by Jesus (Matthew 5-7; John 14-17), but numerous public questions and answers. While a topic is planned for each service, we will take time to answer Bible and significant life questions that are raised by anyone in our services. For questions that cannot be reasonably answered within the framework of a service, we will try to find an alternate forum or provide relevant written information. Visitors to our congregation are free to either remain quiet for the whole service, or, as much as they desire, to sing along with our songs, plan an insrument, ask questions, give answers and share what God has given them. We do not pressure anyone to believe what we beleive, attend with us, or stop attending any other place. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts people of truth&mdas;it is a mistake to try to change someone's beliefs by arguments, threats or intimidation. No collections are taken up during the service. Please feel free to come visit--no advance arrangements are necessary. However, if you need a ride, or would like more information, please call us at 989-738-7700. |
